Protecting Your Driving Record
Did you receive a traffic ticket?
In today's society, we need our driver's license to earn a living,
drive to school, and take care of our family. When you accumulate too
many points on your driving record, not only could your license be suspended,
but you automatically have to deal with the huge inconvenience of not
being able to drive, and when you do get back on the road, your insurance
premiums can skyrocket.
At Parks & Braxton, PA, we have
nearly 48 years of collective legal experience defending
traffic tickets and fighting for peoples' rights to drive. When the state is threatening
to suspend your driver's license, it can feel overwhelming and hopeless,
this is why you need a Miami traffic ticket attorney's help.

Points & Driver's License Suspensions
In Florida, when a driver has accumulated 12 or more points on their record
within one year, their driver's license can be suspended by the Florida
Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
- 12 points accumulated within 12 months will result in a 30-day suspension.
- 18 points accumulated within 18 months will result in a 3-month suspension.
- 24 points accumulated within 36 months will result in a one-year suspension.
What are my options?
Whether you received one too many speeding tickets or multiple tickets
for one incident, it is not difficult to accumulate too many points within
a short timeframe. For some, a suspended license would have a devastating
impact on their careers, especially when they drive a commercial vehicle
for a living, or drive frequently for their job.
The good news is that you CAN fight your traffic ticket, but this needs
to be addressed quickly. With the help of our firm, you may be able to
protect your driving record from accumulating excessive points. Whether
you were charged with a noncriminal traffic violation or a criminal traffic
violation such as DUI or driving on a suspended license, we urge you to
contact our office to arrange a free case evaluation.

strategies we would use to defend your case!
